Handmade pottery

We use the red clay soil from our Currumbin Valley land mixed with cotton fibres when making clay Sculptures or pottery, from our earth that not only teaches us how strong we are connected to our earth but also how we can create something beautiful bestowed upon us by the grace of nature.

In this workshop students will investigate different approaches to working with clay using both hand-built and sculptural techniques. Beginners start with playful, experimental projects and more experienced students are encouraged to develop a strong personal style.

No prior experience is necessary .You will learn to make simple objects on the wheel and then how to trim and glaze them. You will learn how to make your own hand made vessels (typically cups and/or bowls) .This is a fun and gentle class for people who don’t want to be constrained by conventional forms. Follow the flow and see where it leads you…
